A few days ago I stumbled upon this fizzy drink.
It’s called LEMON LEMON white peach – sparkling lemonade, which is quite a promising name for a simple softdrink.
With the “LEMON LEMON“ part I can agree – it does have a very authentical lemon scent and also a somewhat whiteish, almost milky color to it which reminds me of freshly squeezed homemade lemon juice. The drink contains 6% lemon juice which is nice, but even though it’s called “white peach“ there’s only a subtle hint of peach. That’s because there is no actual peach juice in it! They legitimize calling it “white peach“ by adding natural peach flavor to it. Well, it only found its way into my shopping bag because #1 it contains 4,4 g sugar per 100 ml which is 50% less sugar than usual softdrinks and #2 because the term “white peach“ made me curious. I thought the sweeter peach would make a great addition to the sour lemon but I guess we can’t have it all.
All in all this is a sweet, slightly sparkling, refreshing drink that holds its promise when it comes to the lemon part, but breaks it when trying to find the white peach or any kind of peach in it.
